Emergencies
It can be very frightening when your pet is suddenly ill or hurt. During the hours when our doors are open and we are fully staffed we are always here to provide you with prompt medical attention for urgent pet concerns. We have the equipment, tools and skilled personnel that is necessary to deliver life-saving care. Your pet will be seen quickly and we will skillfully assess and treat emergency problems.
What should you do when we are closed, either after hours, on Sunday or on a holiday? If you have a problem or question that can be handled by a phone conversation with one of our veterinarians, please call the hospital (561-746-5501), leave your name and the nature of the problem, and the doctor will be beeped and return your call.
If the nature of your pet's medical problem is urgent, or the condition cannot wait until we next open, please call the great folks at Emergency Pet Care of Jupiter. Their number is 561-746-0555. They are located at 300 S. Central Blvd. in Jupiter (Indiantown Road to Central Blvd --the Hess station is on the corner. Go south about 0.2 miles. A Valuable Resource-- Our Wildlife
We donate our time and expertise to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, a fine organization directed by David Hitzig. Their goal is the rehabilitation and eventual release of the injured Florida wildlife that is brought to them. If an animal is unable to be repaired and released, it is often used for education. Wildlife programs have been brought to many schools and organizations over the years by Busch Wildlife.
At Harmony Animal Hospital we believe that only through proper education,
and a compassion for and understanding of the importance of all creatures, will we thrive. We are all, creatures and people, interconnected.
And we also enjoy the work! It is a real pleasure to donate our skills, time, and equipment to such a worthy cause. The variety of critters that we've cared for ranges from eagles, to storks, owls, foxes, bobcats, hawks, rabbits, songbirds, and many others. You may have seen the reports as we've had stories featured on network television and print media.
